Art and dolce vita

In the moment there are no summer courses planned. But it is always a good idea to ask for individual solutions. Sculpture class with live model in Rome
I am looking forward to see and work with all of you. We will work mainly with a model and start working in clay. Who likes than to experimnt with plaster, can do that but it is also possible to continue with clay. You will learn about the advantages and disadvantages of both materials and of corse a lot about figurative sculpture. I always loved working with a live model because in every little part of the body you will find a universe of forms and volumes and that is what sculpture in the end is about. One of my teachers once said to us " The portrait of a person you will find also in his knee". So you learn also a lot of the nature of our bodies and that every little part is special and individual. For the ones who haven't done it so far I can I reassure that is a lot of fun but also a very concentrated work in which you tend to forget all the rest. It does not matter if you are beginner or already somebody with experience. We work in the sculpture studio of St.Stephen's school in Rome which is situated at the Via Aventina 3 (Behind the FAO) The cost will be 200 € for 6 session , 3 ours each.
